Combating Deforestation

Sadly, the area in which the charity operates is heavily deforested, with much soil erosion.

Many trees are cut down daily for firewood and fodder and the many goatherds are constantly and strenuously searching for fresh green growth to eat.

We have planted hundreds of trees in the area, robustly protected by mounds of thorny branches to protect the young saplings; an example of this is shown in the picture.

As a result Advaita Garden is slowly developing as an oasis in this land which has many demands made upon it to sustain its inhabitants.
